We are MUJI (Hong Kong) Company Limited (“MUJI”, “we” or “us”), a company registered under the laws of Hong Kong. When you shop with us on our website https://onlineshop.muji.com.hk (“MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop”) or access or use our MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop services (the “Services”), the MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop Terms and Conditions and any additional terms, conditions, instructions given by us to you from time to time (collectively the “Conditions”) would apply. Please read these Conditions carefully and ensure that you understand them before accessing MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop or using our Services.

We keep these Conditions updated from time to time with or without notice to you. Please check and review the latest set of Conditions every time you visit MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop.

If you are under the age of 18 years old (“Young Users”), you must seek consent from your parents or legal guardian(s) before accessing MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop and using our Services; and while in use, be under their supervision and guidance at all times. Parents and/or legal guardians acting on behalf of Young Users shall agree to these Conditions for and on behalf of their Young Users and read paragraphs 44- 45 (Young Users and Parental Guidance).

1. MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop Account
 
1.1 There are 3 different schemes here at MUJI:
 
(a) MUJI app;
(b) MUJI Card;and
(c) MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop Account .
  Each of the schemes is governed by separate sets of terms and conditions.
1.2 You are required to register and log into a personal MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop account to shop with us (“MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop Account”). You cannot place an order as a guest on MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop.
1.3 The MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop Account is for personal use by its registrant only and is non-transferable. You may not lend it to others or consolidate your MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop Account with other accounts. MUJI shall not be liable for any loss or damage incurred by you or any third party as a result of using your MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop Account for any Prohibited Act (see paragraph 46 (Prohibited Acts)). In all events, you shall remain responsible for activities conducted via your MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop Account.
1.4 A MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop Account, once successfully registered, shall remain active until disabled or otherwise suspended or terminated under these Conditions. You may refer to paragraph 52 (MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop Account – Termination) for terms relating to the termination of a MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop Account.
2. MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop Account - Registration
 
2.1 Each person may register one MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop Account only. Fraudulently applying for or holding multiple MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop Accounts is a Prohibited Act (see paragraph 46 (Prohibited Acts)) under these Conditions.
2.2 To register a MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop Account, you agree to provide us with information as required on our registration page https://onlineshop.muji.com.hksome of which are mandatory for us to set up the MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop Account. Please visit paragraph 27 (Privacy Policy) to understand the types of information we collect and how we use and handle your personal data. You warrant to us that all information you provided to us is authentic, accurate and complete; and you shall keep such information up-to-date by making necessary updates to your MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop Account profile page.
2.3 We require a valid Hong Kong mobile phone number (or a mobile number from other regions that MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop supports) and an email address to create your MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop Account. Such mobile phone number must be able to receive and send out SMS or WhatsApp for authentication purposes. Please note that you will be solely responsible for any fees that may be charged by your mobile services operator for the use of SMS and network. We shall not bear any responsibility in case you are unable to receive our notice or communication to you under these Conditions due to your failure to provide a valid mobile number and/or email address.
3. MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop Account – Maintenance
 
3.1 You are solely responsible for maintaining the security and confidentiality of your MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop Account credentials and passwords. You must not grant any third party the right to use your MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop Account. Your MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop Account shall not be used to carry out any Prohibited Act (see paragraph 46 (Prohibited Acts)) and you agree to be fully liable for all activities conducted through your account.
3.2 To enable us to deliver our Services to you properly, please ensure that all information provided to us or as recorded on your MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop Account are authentic, accurate, complete, up-to-date and not misleading.
4. MUJI app
 
4.1 To enjoy the privileges and benefits of the MUJI app (Hong Kong version) provided by MUJI (“MUJI app”) for your spending at MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop, you are required to MANUALLY link your MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop Account with your MUJI app ID first before making any purchase. These benefits are not applicable to any purchase by Corporate Customers. Please refer to the webpage of "Corporate Order". https://www.muji.com.hk/en/CorporateService/
4.2 You may add your MUJI app ID to your MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop Account at the time of registering a MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop Account or otherwise by following the instructions set forth on your MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop Account profile page. In any event, the MUJI app ID will not automatically be linked with your MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop Account, even though you may have used the same email address in registering your MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop Account and MUJI app account.
4.3 MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop accepts MUJI app (Hong Kong version) only and no other versions of MUJI app issued by other regions will be accepted.
4.4 Each MUJI app ID can only be linked to one MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop Account. Please note that once the linkage is established, you will not be able to change to a different MUJI app ID thereafter. It is your own responsibility to ensure the accuracy or proper ownership of the MUJI app ID you provided to link with the MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop Account.
4.5 We shall credit the MUJI point and other rewards (as applicable) in accordance with the prevailing terms and conditions of the relevant scheme(s) to your MUJI app account within 1 Business Day or otherwise specified upon Order Confirmation, or after the completion of such services or activities. If your MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop account or MUJI app ID is terminated or suspended before we complete adding the MUJI point to your MUJI app, no MUJI point will be compensated to you, for which, we shall not be held liable to you for any damages and/or loss arising thereof, directly or indirectly.
4.6 Unless otherwise specified, you will not earn any MUJI point for deposit payments, any purchase of MUJI coupons, or any payments of ancillary charges or service charges (including but not limited to delivery fees, assembly services, labour charges, gift-wrapping fees, etc.). No MUJI point will be given for any refund of product.
4.7 All cancelled transactions, returns or refunds processed via MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop will result in the automatic deduction of equivalent MUJI point originally rewarded, including without limitation, any extra MUJI point earned from specific promotions or campaigns. We reserve our right to invalidate any MUJI point that may or may not have been credited to your MUJI app if you terminate or suspend your MUJI app or if you breach any provisions of these Conditions. Updates to the balance of your MUJI point in your MUJI app account will be processed within 3 Business Days after the relevant transactions are completed.
4.8 Please note that the linkage of your MUJI app ID to your MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop Account must be completed and your MUJI app ID must remain valid to be eligible for earning MUJI point and/or any rewards under the prevailing terms and conditions of MUJI app for purchases made at the MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop. No MUJI point and/or any eligible reward can be claimed or otherwise will be credited afterwards if your MUJI app ID has been terminated or suspended at the time of ordering. Any order made through Corporate Customer account is not entitled to any MUJI point and/or other benefits under MUJI app.
4.9 To read the award history and balance of MUJI point, please visit your MUJI app account as such information is not provided in MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop.
4.10 All MUJI point can be converted to MUJI points according to the stages reached under the prevailing terms and conditions of the MUJI app. MUJI points cannot be used for spending at MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop until further notice.
4.11 To understand the terms of use, member privileges, definitions of eligible purchases and details of the MUJI app and MUJI point, or to sign up for a MUJI app ID, please refer to https://onlineshop.muji.com.hk/pages/mujiapp-update.
5. MUJI Card
 
5.1 You may shop at MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop with your MUJI Card if you are a holder of the MUJI Card, which is a Visa credit card issued by Hang Seng Bank (Hong Kong) (“MUJI Card”). You may be rewarded with Hang Seng +FUN Dollars (formerly called "Cash Dollars") and other eligible privileges granted by the issuing bank under the terms and conditions of the MUJI Card. For more information, please visit https://www.muji.com.hk/MUJICard/.
5.2 Notwithstanding anything to the contrary stated elsewhere, no MUJI Dollar will be rewarded for any spending at MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop paid by a MUJI Card.
  IMPORTANT: MUJI points, MUJI Dollars and Hang Seng +FUN Dollars cannot be applied to any spending at MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop until further notice.
5.3 You acknowledge that the contents, mechanisms and terms and conditions of MUJI app and MUJI Card are subject to changes, updates and revisions by us or by relevant parties from time to time without notice to you. We shall bear no liability for any consequences or losses or damages that you suffered or incurred due to such changes, updates or revisions.

【Order】

6. Ordering
 
6.1 To purchase at MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop, you will have to place the selected products into the shopping cart. Any products placed in the shopping cart are not reserved. For the avoidance of doubt, each order submitted constitutes an offer to purchase the products under such order from us. Orders are subject to our acceptance and confirmation to form a contract of sales between us, please see paragraph 7 (Order Acknowledgment and Order Confirmation) for details.
6.2 For each product, there is a tag on the product page to indicate its applicable delivery method(s). You should ensure that the entire shopping cart contains products that can be delivered by a single delivery method for each order. If one or more products in your shopping cart are required to be delivered by different delivery methods, the entire shopping cart will not proceed to checkout, in which case, you will have to adjust your shopping cart such that it can be delivered by a single method. You may not change the delivery method after payment.
6.3 Before ordering a product, you shall ensure there is adequate access space or facilities for delivery to your delivery address and that the product will be given adequate space for the purposes it is intended for.
6.4 We only offer and deliver products on MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop to end consumers. You shall not purchase our products for resale, commercial or other profit-making purposes.
6.5 You may not cancel or change any particulars of an order once it is submitted.
7. Order Acknowledgment and Order Confirmation
 
7.1 After you filled in the necessary information, including without limitation, your mobile phone number, payment method, billing address and shipping address, etc. at the checkout page and clicked the ‘pay now’ button, you will be asked to pay for the order by the payment methods as more particularly specified at the checkout page. The entire shopping cart must be paid by a single payment method. For further details regarding price and payment, please review paragraphs 9-13 (Price and Payment) below.
7.2 Once the order is received, we will send an acknowledgement email to your registered email address and/or a SMS and/or WhatsApp acknowledging receipt of your order request (“Order Acknowledgment”). The Order Acknowledgment is a written confirmation that we received your order request and this does not constitute our acceptance.
7.3 If a product you have ordered is out of stock or there are changes in terms of the product price, quantity or delivery method after you have placed the order, we will notify you and arrange for a refund of such affected product. The remaining products of your order will continue to be processed.
7.4 You understand that any purchase order submitted is treated as a request for purchase, even if we have sent an Order Acknowledgement. The sales contract between us is formed at the time when we send a confirmation notice together with the corresponding invoice to your registered email address and/or notification of acceptance by way of SMS, confirming the accepted order (“Order Confirmation” and such invoice the “Invoice”) as it left our warehouse to our store for pickup or to your delivery address. The Invoice will contain:
 
(a) details of the product(s) you have ordered which we have accepted;
(b) the price for each such product and the total amount of the accepted order;
(c) information about the progress of the accepted order;
(d) the estimated arrival date of the accepted order; and
(e) the delivery address and other delivery-related information as provided to us by you at the time of checkout.
7.5 Please note that the Order Confirmation and Invoice may or may not contain all the products you have ordered. Whilst we endeavour to fulfil all your orders, we reserve the absolute right to refuse the whole or a part of your order before we issue an Order Confirmation for reasons including but not limited to:
 
(a) we notice unusual activities of your order or your MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop Account, which are suspicious of fraudulent or unlawful acts or otherwise violate any of these Conditions;
(b) any product of your order goes against the quantity limit as may be imposed on such product from time to time
(c) any product of your order is out of stock or recalled;
(d) your order cannot be delivered due to lack of access to your delivery address or otherwise cannot be delivered by your selected delivery method;
(e) due to a Force Majeure Event;
(f) we are prohibited from supplying the product(s) of your order under the prevailing laws and regulations or pursuant to notices or orders from relevant authorities; and
(g) we found the order was purchased for resales, commercial or other profit-making purposes.
7.6 If we were to cancel or refuse all or part of any of your orders, we will notify you by email and arrange for a refund and deduct any MUJI point given to your MUJI app account accordingly. Notwithstanding the foregoing, we reserve the full discretionary rights to refuse, decline or cancel whole or part of your order without reason or liability to you.
7.7 If you consider that our refusal of your order was an error, you may get in touch with our Customer Services (mujics@muji.com.hk) .
7.8 We or our courier service providers or any appointed logistics service providers may contact you at your mobile phone number in relation to any order, Order Acknowledgment, Order Confirmation and/or delivery arrangement. Such mobile phone numbers must also be able to receive and send out SMS and/or WhatsApp. You shall be responsible for fees charged by your mobile services operator for your mobile services.
8. Risks and Title
  Title to the products listed in the Invoice shall remain vested in us until we receive the full payment for such invoice and other applicable fees or charges, or at the time that the Order Confirmation is sent, whenever is the latter. The risks in such products shall pass to you upon (i) the collection of such product(s) by you at our physical store, (ii) the collection of such products by our delivery team from our warehouse or stores, or (iii) the delivery of such products to you by our appointed courier partners, as the case may be.

【Price and Payment】

9. Price
 
9.1 Unless otherwise specified, all prices and charges shown on MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop are in Hong Kong Dollars (HK$).
9.2 MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop and our physical stores may set out a different price or promotional offers or campaigns. The prices listed on MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop may differ from the prices of the same products in our physical stores. In any event, we are not obligated to match the price or promotional offer and you will not be entitled to a refund or other remedies for any such price difference or mismatch of a promotional offer. We do not guarantee that the prices, products or offers provided at MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop will also be available or offered to any purchase by Corporate Customers or vice versa.
9.3 We will use reasonable commercial endeavours to display accurate and up-to-date pricing information on our MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop. However, there may be a slight chance that the price of a particular product may be changed after you placed an order for it but before we issue the Order Confirmation. In addition to our rights to refuse or cancel all or part of your order under Clause 7 for whatever reasons, the price of a product as listed upon checkout is the price to be paid by you for such product and you will not be entitled to a refund or other remedies for any price difference or mismatch of promotional offers that take effects after your payment.
9.4 Delivery fees, Additional Charges (defined below) and/or any other service charges may apply and will be displayed during the order process. The total transaction amount (apart from any contingent charges MUJI may charge you under these Conditions, if any) will be shown on the checkout page and Order Acknowledgement, and the amount may be modified by the Order Confirmation and Invoice.
9.5 IMPORTANT: MUJI Points, MUJI Dollars and Hang Seng +FUN Dollars cannot be applied to any spending at MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop until further notice.
10. Discounts and Promotions
 
10.1 We may from time to time have different promotions and offers on MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop, at our physical stores or on other sales channels subject to the relevant terms and conditions. You shall make purchases through the relevant sales channel if you would like to enjoy a particular promotional offer. We will not accept any order cancellation, claim or provide any refund or product exchange due to differences in price and/or offers arising from a purchase through other sales channels.
10.2 All discounts and promotional offers are subject to the prevailing terms and conditions as applicable. Unless otherwise specified, delivery fees, Additional Charges (including but not limited to delivery fees, assembly services, labour charges, gift-wrapping fees, etc.) or other contingent charges collected by us under these Conditions would not be counted towards the minimum spending or other spending requirements to render you eligible for a particular promotional offer. Our decisions in relation to matters arising from such promotional offer shall be conclusive and final. Some of the discounts or promotional offers cannot be used in conjunction with any other offers (including offers provided by parties other than by MUJI).
11. Promotional Codes
 
11.1 We may from time to time, in our sole discretion, distribute discount vouchers or create promotional codes (“Promotional Codes”) that may be redeemed on MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop for spending credits or other features or benefits related to our Services, which may include but not limited to free shipping, bundle purchase discounts, item discounts, etc. The use of such discount vouchers and promotion codes is subject to applicable terms and conditions. Valid Promotional Codes must be provided upon checkout and late submission will not be accepted. For the avoidance of doubt, Promotional Codes do not include all paper-based MUJI coupons including but not limited to MUJI cash coupons, MUJI Card birthday coupons, MUJI gift coupons, or goods redemption vouchers, all of which cannot be used on MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop until further notice.
11.2 Unless otherwise specified, a Promotional Code:
 
(a) applies only to the order under which the Promotional Code was provided but not combined orders;
(b) is only valid if it is provided to you by us through official communication channels;
(c) must be used by the intended MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop Account holder for its intended purposes and in a lawful manner;
(d) may not be duplicated, sold, distributed or transferred unless expressly permitted by us;
(e) may be disabled by us at any time for whatever reasons with or without notice to you and without liability to us;
(f) must be used in accordance with applicable terms and conditions;
(g) is not redeemable for cash, gift cards or cash equivalents;
(h) will not be refunded, reissued or reactivated (if it is for one-time use) if the product(s) to which the Promotional Code applied are subsequently returned;
(i) cannot be used in a transaction in which the qualifying amount is less than the discount to be provided by the Promotional Code and subject to other spending requirements;
(j) will not be reissued if it is accidentally used or expired;
(k) may expire before your use; and
(l) may not be used in conjunction with any other offers or codes.
11.3 You shall remain fully responsible to keep your Promotional Code safely for your own use.
11.4 For promotions, offers and benefits related to MUJI app or MUJI Card, please refer to the relevant sections in paragraph 4 (MUJI app) and paragraph 5 (MUJI Card).
12. Form of Payments
 
12.1 We accept payment by debit or credit cards, stored value cards or other payment methods as set out on the checkout page at the time of payment. Payments by cash, any paper-based MUJI coupons (i.e. including but not limited to MUJI cash coupons, MUJI gift coupons, goods redemption vouchers), or cheque are not accepted. You represent and warrant to us that you are authorised to use such debit or credit cards or stored value cards you provided to us.
12.2 MUJI Points, any paper-based MUJI coupons (i.e. including but not limited to MUJI cash coupons, MUJI gift coupons, goods redemption vouchers) cannot be used on MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop at this moment until further notice.
12.3 All payments will be processed by our partnering payment gateway processors in a secured manner and subject to the terms and conditions of such payment gateway processors which are outside of our control. In particular, you may be asked to satisfy certain security verification requirements before the payment gateway processors will process your payment, for which you remain solely responsible.
12.4 You understand that we are not a financial institution and the usage of your debit/credit cards, stored value cards and all means of payment methods are subject to the respective terms and conditions between you and the related financial institutions or providers. You must alone ensure that you have sufficient credit in your debit/credit cards, stored value cards or other payment wallets for the settlement of the order and that they are valid at the time of payment.
12.5 If MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop were to offer payment by instalments or subscription services where we deliver and charge certain products to you at regular intervals, you must pay by way of credit cards only. We shall charge you at pre-agreed time intervals unless such payment by instalments or subscription services is terminated under their respective terms and conditions. You remain solely responsible to pay us on time with respect to each instalment and subscription period. This includes without limitation the obligation to ensure that your payment debit/credit cards are not expired throughout the entire payment or subscription period. If you fail to meet your payment obligations with respect to any order and/or Services, we reserve the right to cancel or withhold the order and/or Services without notice and liability to us. MUJI will not be responsible for any failure and error that occurs through no fault of ours.
13. Refunds and Order Cancellations
 
13.1 With respect to refund requests approved by us or where the whole or any part of your paid order is cancelled or not accepted by us, we will refund such sums to the credit card or payment account which you authorised us to debit from in the first place. For payments made by other payment methods, we will contact you separately to arrange. Any MUJI point or purchase offers entitlements will be deducted or void in accordance with these Conditions. You can refer the following situations:
13.2 If the order cancellation is caused by us or the return is caused by product defect(s):
  - the net purchase amount related to the products will be refunded; the discount offered or free delivery you have enjoyed will not be affected.
  - But the MUJI point will still be deducted according to the refund amount.
13.3 MUJI does not accept any product return except due to product defect, even if there is special return / order cancellation caused by you which have been exceptionally approved by MUJI, you will still be required to pay the below:
  - All benefits and entitlements will be deducted in the refund net purchase amount;
  - All logistics charges related to the return.
 
  Orders picked up by our appointed courier service provider: HK$50 per carton per location.
  Orders picked up by our appointed trucking company: HK$300 per carton per location.
  Cancellation of Store pickup orders which customer fails to pick up within the Store Collection Deadline: a logistics fee of HK$30 per order.
  - Any gift or redemption products issued with the order need to be returned.
13.4 You accept that we will not reissue or reactivate any used Promotional Codes nor refund the equivalent sum of any used Promotional Codes to you. For further information, please review the section in paragraph 11 (Promotional Codes).
13.5 The lead time to complete an eligible refund may vary between different payment methods. Please contact your issuing financial institution for any queries.
13.6 For further information on your entitlement to MUJI point and Promotional Codes in the event of order cancellation or refund, please refer to the paragraph 4 (MUJI app) and paragraph 11 (Promotional Codes) respectively.
13.7 With respect to orders cancelled by us, you may refer to paragraph 7 (Order Acknowledgment and Order Confirmation) for further information.
13.8 Regarding any exchange and return and the relevant procedures and calculations, you may also refer to paragraph 22 and 23 (Exchange and Return).

【Delivery Method】

14. Delivery Method
 
14.1 For each product, there will be a tag on the product profile page to indicate the applicable delivery method, which may be one or more of the followings:
 
(a) General Merchandise Delivery (Standard Delivery or Self-Pickup Point);
(b) Store Pickup; 
(c) Bulky Item Delivery.
  You may only choose a single delivery method for each order. If one or more products in your shopping cart are required to be delivered by different delivery methods, the entire shopping cart will not proceed to checkout, in which case, you will have to adjust your shopping cart such that the shopping cart can be delivered by a single method. You may not change the delivery method after payment.
14.2 We may deliver your order in one or more instalments. All personal data collected by us is for providing delivery services. Please visit the paragraph 27 (Privacy Policy) to understand the types of information we collect and how we use and handle your personal data.
14.3 Our decisions are final in relation to all aspects of our delivery services, delivery arrangements and any disputes.
14.4 You are recommended to visit MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop and log into your MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop Account regularly to receive information, notices or updates concerning our delivery services as we may not be able to send personalised messages to each customer in certain circumstances.
15. General Merchandise Delivery Method
 
15.1 The General Merchandise Delivery method means delivery by our partnering courier service providers to your delivery address (Standard Delivery) or pickup points/locker facilities (Self-Pickup Point) set up by such courier service providers. We may appoint different partnering courier service providers to handle your order from time to time as we see fit.
15.2 Free Delivery to one self-pickup points/locker will be offered for each cart order with a net cart amount of HK$350 or above; or a delivery fee of HK$30 per order will be payable for each pickup points/locker. Free Delivery to one address will be offered for each cart order with a net cart amount of HK$600 or above; or a delivery fee of HK$60 per order will be payable for each delivery address.
15.3 After the receipt of an Order Confirmation, you can expect that the order would be delivered to a residential & commercial address within 2 to 4 Business Days. However, this is only an estimated delivery time and the actual delivery date and time are subject to the applicable services terms of the courier service providers and the availability of pickup points and/or lockers.
15.4 You cannot choose a designated delivery date and time. The responsible courier service provider will notify you by SMS directly or contact you on your mobile phone number regarding the delivery arrangements hence you are required to provide a valid mobile phone number at the time of ordering to ensure that the courier service providers can contact you. The General Merchandise Delivery is subject to the terms and conditions of services as well as instructions given by the courier service providers, including without limitation, you must pick up the order at the designated pickup point within the timeframe specified by the courier service providers to avoid any late penalty charges. The courier service providers may impose additional charges or do all such things as they are entitled to if you fail to adhere to their service terms and instructions. You may contact the relevant courier service providers for details.
15.5 We cannot change the pickup point once it is confirmed. You may contact the courier service providers to apply for a change (the contact number will be indicated on the invoice), but such change would be subject to their service terms and discretion. Please note that there is possibility that your order will be delayed if the pickup point is fully occupied. You may refer to the website of the courier service providers to track your order.
15.6 If any undelivered product is returned to a service point by our courier service providers and you fail to pick up your order within their requested timeframe after receipt of our notification ("Collection Deadline”) for whatever reasons not attributable to us, we reserve the discretionary right to take either one of the following actions in addition to any extra charges that may be imposed by the courier service providers:
 
(a) we will cancel and refund your order after deducting any service fees chargeable under these Conditions and/or any outstanding charges payable by you under these Conditions; or
(b) (b) dispose of the order without refund or compensation to you (in particular for perishable goods)
  without further notice.
15.7 We shall not be liable for any loss or damage of products left at the building management office or any location other than the delivery address stated in the delivery note as requested by you.
15.8 We will not be responsible for any failure of delivery that occurs through no fault of ours. You shall also compensate us for any surcharge and/or additional storage charge imposed by the courier service providers due to your failure to pick up the order.
15.9 You may also refer to paragraphs 22 - 23 (Exchange and Return) for the relevant policies and rules.
16. Store Pickup Method
 
16.1 The store pickup method is available for products which are suitable for store pickup only. You may choose one of our selected MUJI stores to pick up the products at the time of ordering. Once the order is paid, any application to change the pickup store will NOT be accepted.
16.2 No delivery fee will be charged for store pickup which is available during the opening hours of your selected MUJI store. The latest opening hours of each store should be based on the information on our official website at www.muji.com.hk/.
16.3 When your order is ready for store pickup, we will send you a notification to your registered email address or by way of SMS to your mobile phone number in around 2 to 4 Business Days after the Order Confirmation has been sent (“Store Pickup Notification”). You shall pick up the order at your selected store by presenting such Store Pickup Notification within 7 calendar days from the date of the Store Pickup Notification (“Store Collection Deadline”).
16.4 If you fail to pick up within the Store Collection Deadline for whatever reasons not attributable to us, depending on the type of products, we reserve the discretionary right to take either one of the following actions:
 
(a) After Store Collection Deadline, we will cancel your order and refund the balance to you after deducting any kinds of handling fees (if applicable) and a logistics fee;
(b) If the total order amount is equal to or less than the deductiable amounts as stated in sub-clause (a) above, there will be no refund; or
(c) Dispose of the order without refund or compensation to you (in particular for perishable goods)without further notice.

16.5 Your store pickup order must be picked up by you or by someone else on your behalf, who must present the Store Pickup Notification. Anyone holding the QR code as shown on the Store Pickup Notification can pick up the order at the pre-selected store. You shall remain solely responsible for keeping the Store Pickup Notification and/or related emails in safe custody and protecting them from unauthorised access and use. Please confirm the quantity, conditions and descriptions of the product(s) upon collection. You may need to show your personal information to our staffs for identity verification. You or your authorised representative may be asked to sign a confirmation of receipt. An email or a SMS will then be sent to you to confirm your receipt of the product(s).

17. Bulky Item Delivery Method
 
17.1 General Terms on Bulky Item Delivery
 
17.1.1 The Bulky Item Delivery services will be used for bulky products. Before placing an order for any bulky product, you shall ensure adequate access to the delivery address.
17.1.2 Our Bulky Item Delivery Services is available for any purchase at MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop for the product(s) that are “tagged” to be delivered by Bulky Item Delivery Service.
17.1.3 Free Bulky Item Delivery Service to one address will be offered for each cart order with a net cart amount of HK$3,000, or a delivery fee of HK$300 will be payable for each delivery address (“Delivery Fee for Bulky Item Delivery Service”).
17.1.4 Assembly charge, labour charge, parking fee, bridge and tunnel toll or any additional charges stated here (collectively, “Additional Charges”) are not included in calculating your minimum spending for free Bulky Item Delivery services and will be charged on top of the Delivery Fee for Bulky Item Delivery Service.
17.1.5 You should inform us of the delivery address and when prompted, you must provide us with all information concerning the accessibility of the delivery address. For example, whether the delivery address can be accessed by elevator and based on the information provided by you, we may impose Labour Charge or other Additional Charges. If you fail to provide all such information accurately in advance (for example, that your premises is not serviced by any elevator or products can only be delivered through staircases), we reserve the right to charge extra Delivery fee for Bulky Item Delivery Service and Additional Charges for returning the products to our warehouse due to failure in delivery attempt(s) and for arranging and rescheduling subsequent deliveries. If it is in MUJI’s reasonable judgement that the products cannot be delivered to your delivery address, we reserve the right to cancel and refund your order after deducting Delivery Fee for Bulky Item Delivery Service and Additional Charges for each delivery attempt, as well as any storage costs (if applicable) we incurred in the course of delivery attempt(s).
17.1.6 Your order will be delivered by our appointed trucking company only. Any other delivery companies at your request will not be accepted.
17.2 Assembly Service
 
17.2.1 If we offer assembly services for certain products, where available, you will see an assembly services indicator on the product profile page and you may choose to purchase such services from us. Assembly services do not include any form of wall-mount installation.
17.2.2 Assembly services are not guaranteed to take place at the same time as delivery. As you will be able to choose your preferred delivery date at the time of ordering, we will assume that day is your preferred assembly date, such date is subject to our confirmation within 2 Business Days after you have paid for the order. We will contact you by email or SMS or phone to inform you of the arranged/expected assembly date. We will make a reasonable effort to send you reminders 2 Business Days before the scheduled delivery date and estimated time window for assembly.
17.2.3 For the avoidance of doubt, shipment, lifting operation, wall-mount installation and furniture disposal services are not available. You shall arrange for such services at your own costs and risk.
17.3 Service Areas, Days and Hours
 
17.3.1 Bulky Item Delivery and assembly services are only provided to an address on Hong Kong Island, Kowloon and the New Territories (including Ma Wan, Tung Chung and Discovery Bay but excluding outlying islands, restricted areas and such other areas as stated in paragraph 19 of ‘Delivery Service Areas’). We may not provide Bulky Item Delivery Services for a delivery address where there is no paved passage between the loading point and the delivery address for access by trolley or the product(s) to be delivered, as well as any premises not accessible by staircase or located on the 8th floor or above which is not serviced by elevators.
17.3.2 We shall apply labour charge by the number of floors, if the delivery location cannot be reached by elevators, you will have to input the number of floors our labour has to carry the products to your door. This information needs to be filled in at the time of payment. If you provide us with the wrong information, we have the right to cancel your order and refund to you after deducting the Delivery fee for Bulky Item Delivery services.
17.3.3 Bulky Item Delivery Service is available from 11:00 to 18:00, Monday to Sunday except for Chinese New Year holidays and public holidays. We reserve the right to change our service hours without prior notice.
17.3.4 Bulky Item Delivery Service and assembly services (if applicable) will be suspended during a Force Majeure Event. In such a case, we will contact you to reschedule the delivery.
17.3.5 You may refer to paragraph 18 (Delivery Days and Timing) for further information.
17.4 Delivery Arrangements
 
17.4.1 While you will be able to choose your preferred delivery date at the time of ordering, such date is subject to our confirmation within 2 Business Days after you have paid for the order. We will contact you by email or SMS or phone to inform you of the arranged/expected delivery date. Whilst we will make a reasonable effort to send you reminders 2 Business Days before the scheduled delivery date and estimated time window, we are not obligated to do so, and you shall remain responsible to ensure that the delivery address will be attended to at the time of delivery.
17.4.2 After the receipt of an Order Confirmation, you can expect that the order would be delivered to your delivery address in around 14 Business Days.
17.4.3 To enable us to provide Bulky Item Delivery Service or assembly services, you shall ensure that we or our contractors are provided with a safe, adequate and appropriate space/environment. You should also be responsible for taking all necessary precautions or preventative measures to protect your furniture, floors, walls, ceilings, decorations and other properties from unintentional damages. We shall not be liable to you for any losses or damages arising from and in connection with Bulky Item Delivery Service or assembly services that are due to you failing to observe this clause.
17.4.4 The recipient appointed by you to receive the delivery at the delivery address shall be deemed to be your authorized representative and any instructions/information provided and acts done by such authorized representative shall be deemed instructions/information provided and acts done by you.
17.4.5 Upon receipt of the delivery, you or your representative shall inspect and confirm the contents, quantities and conditions of the products and sign on the delivery note to acknowledge receipt. The risk of loss or damage of such products shall pass to you at that time. You shall report any issues with respect to the products delivered by us by 15:00 on the following day after delivery. Any late notice will not be accepted.
17.4.6 We shall not be liable for any loss or damage of products left at the building management office or any location other than the delivery address stated in the delivery note as per your instructions.
17.4.7 If an order or any product thereof cannot be delivered at the time of arrival due to an access problem, we may, where feasible, reschedule the delivery and/or charge any extra costs for it. We shall not be liable to you for any delivery failure and any costs that you may or may not have incurred as a result.
17.4.8 If we were unable to deliver the products ordered due to a Force Majeure Event, we will notify you as soon as possible to arrange for a refund. In no event, we shall be liable for any increased cost, loss of profits or goodwill or any other special, incidental, direct or indirect or consequential damages due to any late delivery or non-delivery of your order. During the period of a Force Majeure Event, our Bulky Item Delivery service and assembly service (if any) may be suspended, and we will further contact you for the re-arrangement.
17.5 Fees and Charges
 
17.5.1 A summary of delivery fees and Additional Charges are set forth below (which are subject to our change from time to time without prior notice):
 
(i) Delivery Fee for Bulky Item Delivery Service

Net purchase amount HK$3,000 or above: Free
Redelivery Fee:HK$300 after every unsuccessful delivery
(ii) Labour Charge
HK$80 per floor if no elevator is available in the building
Maximum number of stairs: 7 floors
(iii) Other Charges (if applicable)
Tunnel Toll – at prevailing rates
Discovery Bay: HK$120
(iv) Assembly Charge
Basic Furniture: HK$300 per unit.
System Furniture: First Column HK$300; Each Connected Column HK$300
System Furniture includes but is not limited to Wooden Stacking Shelf, Oak Wood Unit shelves, Steel Unit Shelf and Wooden Stackable Cabinet. Assembly charge varies according to furniture's type and combination. For details, please contact our Customer Service.
The assembly charge per order is capped at HK$3,000.
17.5.2 Delivery fee for Bulky Item Delivery Service and Additional Charges are required to be paid at the time of checkout. In case of any other Additional Charges or extra charges incurred upon delivery, you may need to settle the payment on site upon our request.
17.6 Cancellation / Reschedule
 
17.6.1 You may change the assigned delivery date ONCE for free. Such request shall be made to our service providers (whose contact information can be found on our invoice) at least 4 Days in advance of the scheduled date. Any further change to the delivery date or short notice of change request will be subject to an administration charge of HK$100 payable upon delivery. We will try our best to accommodate your requests but any request for rescheduling shall be subject to our time slot availability.
17.6.2 There will be no refund of Delivery Fee for Bulky Item Delivery Service and/or any Additional Charges due to an unattended delivery address on the arranged delivery date and at the arranged time. In such a case, we will charge an additional fee of HK$300 for any rescheduled delivery. To reschedule a delivery, please contact our service providers (whose contact information can be found on our invoice) at least 4 Days in advance of the intended delivery date, subject to availability of Bulky Item Delivery Services.
17.6.3 The maximum storage period for products which must be delivered by Bulky Item Delivery services is 30 calendar days starting from the date of ordering (“Delivery Deadline”). If the products remain uncollected after the aforesaid period, you shall be deemed to have unconditionally agreed to leave such products at our disposal and we shall have the discretionary right to take either one of the following actions:
  • after Delivery Deadline, we will cancel and refund your order after deducting any kind of handling fees mentioned in these Conditions (if applicable); or
  • dispose of the order without refund or compensation to you
  without further notice.
17.6.4 Regarding the details about refund amount calculation, please refer to paragraphs 22-23 (Exchange and Return) for the relevant policies.
17.6.5 Unless otherwise stated in these Conditions, the Bulky Item Delivery service shall be provided according to our Home Delivery Service Terms and Conditions . In the event of inconsistencies between these Conditions and the Home Delivery Service Terms and Conditions , these Conditions shall prevail.
18. Delivery Days and Timing
 
18.1 Generally speaking, we deliver to the specified areas of Hong Kong SAR from Monday to Sunday except:
 
(a) first 3 days of the Lunar New Year;
(b) New Year’s Day;
(c) Delivery Service and assembly services (if applicable) will be suspended if typhoon signal 8 or above or the black rainstorm signal or extreme conditions is issued.
(d) public holidays or Sundays if the order is to be delivered to a commercial and industrial address.
18.2 The delivery time (from the day you receive Order Confirmation) for each delivery method is set out as follows for reference only:
  General Merchandise Delivery (including Standard Delivery and Self-Pickup Point):
  • Residential, Commercial and Industrial Area: 2-4 Business Days
  Store Pickup:
  • 2-4 Business Days
  Bulky Item Delivery:
  • 14 Business Days
18.3 We will try to minimize any delay but any delivery date and time provided by us is an estimate only. Final confirmation of the delivery date and time is subject to our Order Confirmation and/or the schedule of our courier service provider or appointed trucking company. You are welcome to track the latest delivery status through your MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop Account or refer to our email update to you from time to time. You agree and accept that under no circumstances will we accept cancellation of order or refund for delayed or no delivery which is due to reasons not attributable to us.
18.4 Dispatch times may vary according to the availability of the products at our warehouses or stores. We shall not be liable for any delay in stock arriving at our stores or warehouses if the delay is caused by any reasons beyond our control.
18.5 While we endeavour to deliver goods to your designated delivery address within the time frames as indicated in these Conditions, we cannot guarantee delivery times, particularly during busy promotional and sale periods where some order dispatches may be delayed due to the additional volume. Dispatch of orders may also be delayed where payment or address information requires verification or correction before dispatch. Any guarantees or representations made as to delivery times are subject to any delays resulting from Force Majeure Events for which we will not be held responsible.
19. Delivery Service Area
 
19.1 Products at MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop can be delivered to most of the commercial, industrial and residential areas in Hong Kong only, excluding:
 
(a) outlying islands in Hong Kong (only if the items are required to be delivered by Bulky Item Delivery Service);
(b) post office box addresses;
(c) certain restricted areas, for example, those that require special permits;
(d) remote areas which are not accessible by vehicles; and
(e) the address on 8th Floor or above without elevator facilities
  (collectively, “Delivery Service Area”)
19.2 Whilst we will try to inform you whether your delivery address falls within Delivery Service Area at the time of checkout, you acknowledge and agree that we may not be able to do so. You are also responsible for informing us, when prompted, to disclose relevant particulars of your delivery address accurately. For instance, whether the delivery address is serviced with an elevator. We reserve the right to decline delivery at our sole discretion at any time.
20. Delivery Fees
 
20.1 You agree and accept that we are entitled, at our option, to charge you additional fees or cancel your order without any refund or compensation to you in the event of your failure to accept delivery for whatever reasons.
20.2 We reserve the right to amend the free delivery spending requirement from time to time.
20.3 Unless otherwise specified, delivery fees, Additional Charges and any other additional fees charged under paragraph 20.1 (if any) are non-refundable, non-transferable and non-exchangeable for cash or products. Such delivery fees, any Additional Charges and other additional fees will not be converted to MUJI point or be considered as spending required for any of our promotional campaigns.
20.4 You understand that the charges for delivery services for orders made in MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop are different from that offered in MUJI physical stores and other sales channels. Unless otherwise stated in these Conditions, MUJI’s Home Delivery Service Terms and Conditions shall apply to the Bulky Item Delivery method here at MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop to an extent applicable. In the event of inconsistencies between these Conditions and the Home Delivery Service Terms and Conditions , these Conditions shall prevail.
21. General Terms Relating to Delivery
  Once the product has been delivered to you they will be held at your own risk and we will not be liable for the loss or damage. For the avoidance of doubt, we will not be responsible for any damages or loss of the product(s) once the risks in the product(s) have been passed to you. For risks and ownership, please refer to paragraph 8 (Risks and Title).

【Exchange and Return】

22. Exchange
 
22.1 General Terms on Exchange
 
22.1.1 Exchange service is available to the product(s) which meet the ‘Conditions of Refund and Exchange’ in paragraph 24.
22.1.2 The exchange service must be made via MUJI Hong Kong physical stores within 14 calendar days after the order date. You must present with the valid invoice with QR code or Order Number from MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop for exchange.
22.1.3 The physical stores will only accept exchanges for items purchased from the Official MUJI Online Shop or MUJI stores . Items purchased from other designated online shops shall follow the terms and conditions / policy of goods exchange and return of those online shops.
22.1.4 Exchange service is subject to the stock availability in physical stores at Hong Kong.
22.1.5 Unless otherwise specified, products could only be exchanged once.
22.1.6 If a valid invoice with QR code/Order Number cannot be provided, we reserve the right to decline such exchange request or set the price according to the lowest retail price on record.
22.1.7 If exchange is due to product quality issue or discrepancy in the items ordered, you shall report via MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop by email mujics@muji.com.hk or by phone (please refer to 'Contact Us') for our follow-up.
22.1.8 Unless otherwise stated here, any exchange of any product is subject to our “Goods Exchange Terms and Conditions”. In the event of inconsistencies between these Conditions and the Goods Exchange Terms, these Conditions shall prevail.
 
22.2 Procedures of Exchange
 
22.2.1 For order of General Merchandise Delivery or Store Pickup, prior application for exchange is not required. You can bring the product(s) to our designated physical stores together with the Invoice with a QR code or Order Number within 14 calendar days after the order date. If a valid Invoice or Order Number cannot be provided as required, we reserve the right to decline your exchange request. Our staff will examine the product(s) to whether the ‘Conditions of Exchange and Return’] are met our decision on the examination will be final.
22.2.2 For order of Bulky Item Delivery, the application for exchange must be made via MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop by email mujics@muji.com.hk or by phone (please refer to 'Contact Us') . Unless otherwise stated in these Conditions, any exchange of the bulky item is subject to our Home Delivery Service Terms and Conditions . In the event of inconsistencies between these Conditions and the Home Delivery Service Terms and Conditions, these Conditions shall prevail.
22.2.3 If you elect to exchange for product(s) of a higher value, you agree to pay the difference between the actual price you paid for the returned product(s) and the price of the product(s) in exchange. If the item chosen is of lower value, no refund for the price difference will be provided.
23. Return
 
23.1 General Terms on Return
 
23.1.1 No return of any products will be accepted for any purchases from MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop, except as provided in these Conditions or approved by us on a case-by-case basis.
23.1.2 You may be entitled to a return of any products purchased from MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop with a fundamental defect or quality issue that is justified and accepted by us in our sole and reasonable judgment. Natural characteristics of the product materials causing discrepancies between an actual product from its exhibits or photos, such as wood grain and colour, shall not be regarded as a product defect.
23.1.3 The application for return must be made via MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop within 14 calendar days after the order date (but not at any other sales channels).
23.1.4 No request for return is handled nor accepted at our physical stores.
23.1.5 You shall ensure that the products intended to be returned meet the refund conditions as set out in paragraph ‎24 (Conditions of Exchange and Return) before making such an application.
23.1.6 Unless otherwise specified, products could only be returned and refunded once.
23.1.7 Unless the return of products is due to quality issues, you shall bear the delivery fees and any additional charges for return delivery.
23.1.8 Unless otherwise stated here, any return of any product is subject to our “Goods Exchange Terms and Conditions”. In the event of inconsistencies between these Conditions and the Goods Exchange Terms, these Conditions shall prevail.
 
23.2 Procedures of Return
 
23.2.1 You shall apply the return by submitting the documents and information required by us to our email address at mujics@muji.com.hk for us to consider your application, including without limitation:
 
(a) your reason for making a return and refund application;
(b) supporting photographs;
(c) the item number of the product you wish to return and refund;
(d) the quantity of such product;
(e) the address where we should pick up such product from you;
(f) the preferred pickup date and time; and
(g) your contact phone number.
23.2.2 Upon receipt of your submission, we will send you an acknowledgement of your return and refund application and your application will be reviewed and considered by us internally. You will be notified of our preliminary decision within 5 Business Days after we sent our acknowledgement of receipt.
23.3 Approved Refund
 
23.3.1 If your application is preliminarily approved by us for return and refund, we will send you a return order confirmation by email which shall include instructions to you for sending the product(s) of complaint to us for our examination.
23.3.2 You are required to pack the product(s) to be returned following our instructions for our pickup. We will inform you of the pickup arrangements. The associated shipment costs will be borne by us unless the product(s) returned to us do not meet the ‘Conditions of Exchange and Return’ in paragraph ‎24 and in which case, you shall reimburse us with such costs together with the costs to handle the return application and return the product(s) to you due to rejected application for return.
23.3.3 You understand that the risks of the returned product(s) remain with you until such product(s) arrive at our warehouse. We are not liable for any loss or damages while the products are in transit to our warehouse and you have to contact the courier service provider to make a claim. Once arrived at our warehouse, we will arrange for the returned product(s) to be examined by us to ensure that the ‘Conditions of Exchange and Return’ in paragraph 24 are met.
23.3.4 If we finally approve your application for a refund, we will inform you by way of email and/or SMS. The whole inspection process is around 5 Business Days for general products and 10 Business Days for furniture items from the day of pickup.
23.3.5 For any approved return and refunds, you can refer the following situations:
 
(a) if the order cancellation is caused by us or the return is caused by product defect(s):
  - The net purchase amount related to the products, the discount offered or free delivery you have enjoyed will not be affected.
  - But MUJI point will still be deducted according to the refund amount.
(b) MUJI does not accept any product return except due to product defect, even if there is special return /order cancellation caused by you which has been exceptionally approved by MUJI, you will still be required to pay the below:
  - All benefits and entitlements will be deducted in the refund net purchase amount;
  - All logistics charges related to the return to the warehouse:
 
  Orders picked up by our appointed courier service provider: HK$50 per carton per location;
  Orders picked up by our appointed trucking company: HK$300 per carton per location.
  - Overdue of Store pickup orders which customer fails to pick up within the Store Collection Deadline: a logistics fee of HKD 30 per order.
(c) Any gift or redemption products issued with the order has to be returned.
23.3.6 You accept that we will not reissue or reactivate any used Promotional Codes nor refund the equivalent sum of any used Promotional Codes to you. For further information, please review paragraph 11 on Promotional Codes.
23.3.7 The Approved Refunds will be issued based on the original form of payment. Under normal circumstances, you will receive the refunds within 30 Business Days after our final approval on your application, but it varies depending on your card issuer, bank or electronic payment agency.
24. Conditions of Exchange and Return
 
24.1 The following products will not be eligible for the exchange or return:
 
(a) gift coupons, food, personal care items, underwear , bathroom fabrics, books, plants, sanitisers, custom-made items, embroidered, altered or assembled items, plastic bag and paper bag charges, service charges; or
(b) those with defect(s) caused by non-manufacturing faults, including but not limited to the natural characteristics of the material (such as leather pattern, wood grain, knots and colour etc.); or
(c) through no fault of ours, those with defect(s) due to any human factors (such as alteration, assembling or improper use etc.), or other external or environmental factors, and/or fair wear and tear occurred under normal use.
24.2 It is important to note the following conditions for us to approve any exchange or return application:
 
(a) any such application must be made in accordance with these Conditions, including meeting any deadline for such application;
(b) products could only be exchanged or returned once; and
(c) unless the return of products is, in our sole judgement, due to product quality issues, you agree to bear the return delivery fees, together with the costs to handle the return and refund application and return the product(s) to you for the rejected application.
24.3 We reserve the right to finally determine whether or not to approve a return application and to refund the net amount that customer has paid after deducting the necessary fees.
24.4 Only the following products are eligible for the exchange or return, provided that upon arrival at our stores or warehouse:
 
(a) products are sold by us via MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop with valid Invoice of our online shop;
(b) products that have not been worn, washed, damaged, stained, altered or used;
(c) products that are still in new, clean and original selling conditions with all original labels, tags and packing (if applicable) intact; and
(d) products that are accompanied with any gift or redemption products issued with the original purchase and such gift or redemption product must be unused and undamaged condition and its original packaging.
24.5 If the gift or redemption product cannot be returned, we reserve the right to request you to pay for the gift or redemption product according to the price indicated or otherwise refuse your return and refund application.

【Warranty Services and Other After-sales Services】

25. Warranty Services
 
25.1 For some products, you are entitled to warranty services from the date of ordering until the end of the warranty services period (“Warranty Period”). The Warranty Period varies for each product and is subject to the relevant terms and conditions for such product. The date of ordering is based on the date of the online shop Invoice (either soft copy or printed copy). The warranty service does not apply to products not purchased from MUJI or its authorized dealers in Hong Kong (if any).
25.2 If the product is eligible for our warranty services, you may complete the form at this hyperlink to register the warranty service. A warranty registration confirmation email will be sent to you after submission. You will be required to show warranty registration email confirmation / the original warranty card (if applicable) and the invoice to enjoy the free warranty service during the Warranty Period.
25.3 Warranty Service of selected MUJI items is directly provided by supplier. MUJI (Hong Kong) Company Limited shall not be responsible for the warranty service of such item. For details, please refer to the corresponding product information.
25.4 The product, subject to the Warranty Period and normal use, will be entitled to free carry-in hardware repair service if the following event occurs:
 
(a) If a defect appears during normal and proper use of the product; or
(b) If the cause of the defect in the product or any parts of its components is deemed to have been a defect resulting from the manufacturing or delivery process.
25.5 If you notice a defect as described above during the Warranty Period, you can bring the product (including all of its accessories), the warranty registration confirmation email / the original Warranty Card and the Invoice to MUJI stores in Hong Kong (except MUJI com) to request for the above warranty service.
25.6 Please note that the warranty does not cover:
 
(a) periodical checking and replacing consumable products;
(b) installation, dismantling, transport, disposal, removal or reinstatement of any fittings and facilities which impede repair services;
(c) cleaning, dirt removal, disinfection, cleaning services; or
(d) replacing, repairing or reconditioning the cabinet, knob, other accessories and exterior equipment of the product.
25.7 Further, the warranty will automatically be deemed void if:
 
(a) any correction work or report for the product by reasons of not following the instruction in the installation or operation manual;
(b) the product has been explicitly or implicitly modified, tampered with, altered or repaired in any way by anybody other than qualified technicians of MUJI;
(c) the product has been damaged due to misuse, abuse, negligence, physical damage, accident, fire, flood, insect, natural calamities or other events that are beyond MUJI’s control;
(d) non-genuine MUJI consumable products were used together with the product;
(e) the serial number sticker in the product has been tampered with, modified or torn off; or
(f) damage(s) was caused by a Force Majeure Event.
25.8 The warranty is valid in Hong Kong SAR only.
26. Other After-sales Services
  Alteration services and embroidery services are not applicable for the products purchased on MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop.

(j) interfering with other person’s rights and experience in using MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop or our Services;
(k) interfering with or disrupting the operation of our MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop or the servers or networks used to make our MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop available; or violating any requirements, procedures, policies or regulations of such networks;
(l) transmitting or otherwise making available in connection with our site any virus, Trojan horse or other technologically harmful material that is invasive or may or is intended to damage the operation of, or to monitor the use of, any network, hardware, software, or equipment;
(m) using MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop and/or our Services in violation of these Conditions or applicable laws;
(n) fraudulently applying for or holding multiple MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop Accounts;
(o) reproducing, duplicating, copying, selling, reselling, or otherwise exploiting for any commercial purposes, any portion of, use of, or access to our MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop;
(p) modifying, adapting, translating, reverse engineering, decompiling or disassembling any portion of our MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop;
(q) framing or mirroring any part of our MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop without our express prior written consent;
(r) creating a database by systematically downloading and storing the Content, User Generated Content or any MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop content; and
(s) infringing any copyright, trade mark, design right and other intellectual property rights subsisting in MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop or the products listed therein.
47. Consequences of Violation of These Conditions
 
47.1 You understand and agree that if you violate these Conditions or committed any of the prohibited acts, MUJI reserves the right to, at its sole discretion, without notice or compensation to you, immediately:
 
(a) modify or delete all or part of your User Generated Content;
(b) temporarily suspend or permanently terminate your MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop Account and our Services to you;
(c) refuse or reject your application for registration of a MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop Account;
(d) refuse to accept, or cancel any unfulfilled orders that have already been placed by you;
(e) withhold the delivery of any orders that have been accepted by us;
(f) report your acts to law enforcement bodies;
(g) publish any press release, announcement or notice in any form of media with respect to your violation of these Conditions; and/or
(h) other acts that are incidental to the above.
47.2 We have no liability or obligation to you to give any explanation for your inability to access or use MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop and/or the Service due to the above reasons. You shall bear the responsibility for any loss or damage, or expense (including but not limited to legal costs) incurred by you or any third party arising out of the above circumstances.

48. Your Warranties

(a) you (or your parents/legal guardians) read and agree to these Conditions and consent to our use of your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy;
(b) you have the full power to enter into contracts of sales with us in accordance with these Conditions and to perform obligations under these Conditions and to incur the liabilities hereby contemplated; and
(c) with these Conditions impose on you legal, valid and binding obligations enforceable in law.

49. Indemnity
  You agree to defend, indemnify and hold us, our employees, agents, officers, directors and other representatives harmless from and against all liabilities, damages, claims, actions, costs and expenses (including legal fees), in connection with or arising from your breach of these Conditions. We may, if necessary, participate in the defence of any claim or action and any negotiations for settlement. No settlement which may adversely affect our rights or obligations shall be made without our prior written approval. We reserve the right, at our own expense and on notice to you, to assume exclusive defence and control of any claim or action.

50.1 MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop is provided "as is" excluding any representations or warranties of any kind, either express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable laws including but not limited to, the exclusion of warranties of title, merchantability, satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement of proprietary or third party rights.
50.2 We accept no responsibility or liability for any products, services, features or functions available on the MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop. We can remove any products listed on our MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop at any time and may terminate MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop at any time without notice to you.
50.3 We do not represent or warrant that:
 
(a) our Services and any services (whether or not provided by us) will be provided with due care and skill; or
(b) access to our MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop, or any part of it, will be uninterrupted, reliable or fault-free;

【Termination】

52. MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop Account - Termination
 
52.1 We reserve the right to reject your MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop Account application, disable and/or terminate your MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop Account and stop providing you with our Services, immediately at any time with or without notice to you, on the basis of any of the following grounds:
 
(a) we are in a reasonable belief that you have violated or attempted to violate any term of these Conditions, in particular, you carried out or attempted to carry out any Prohibited Act;
(b) we are in a reasonable belief that any representation and/or warranty given by you is untrue or circumstances have changed in rendering such representation and/or warranty becomes untrue;
(c) we are in a reasonable belief that you have resold or will resell the products purchased from MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop for profit-making purposes;
(d) you failed to log into your MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop Account for a consecutive period of (12) months despite sending you a reminder to do so;
(e) your MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop Account has previously been cancelled by us in the past;
(f) you have passed away;
(g) as required by the government or any enforcement authorities; or
(h) other reasons as permitted by laws.
52.2 You may request to terminate or suspend your MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop Account at any time by contacting us provided that there is no unfulfilled order or pending payment due to us in such a MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop Account. Please ensure that all MUJI point or other rewards (as applicable) from any eligible purchases using your MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop Account have been credited to your MUJI app before termination of such MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop Account.
53. Suspension or Termination of Our Services
 
53.1 We may suspend or terminate the Services, in whole or in part, without prior notice in the event that any of the following circumstances occurs:
 
(a) Extreme Weather is in force;
(b) regular or urgent maintenance, inspection, repair or update of the system, software of the Services;
(c) any natural disaster or any situation beyond our reasonable control, such as fire, suspension of power supply, earthquake, volcano explosion, flood or tsunami, or other acts of God;
(d) declaration of war, social unrest, riot or similar situations interfering with our ability in providing our Services;
(e) systems or software are malfunctioning or being destroyed, intervened (including any information or source code being invaded), or network or connection problem, etc.; or
(f) any other unforeseeable situations or circumstances that we regard as necessary to suspend or terminate the Services,
(any such event under (a) to (f) is a “Force Majeure Event”).
53.2 Upon the occurrence of a Force Majeure Event, we may not be able to send personalised messages to each of our customers individually. You are recommended to visit MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop and log into your MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop Account regularly to receive information, notices or updates concerning our Services to you.
54. Consequences of Suspension or Termination
 
54.1 In the event of the termination of MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop Account or our Services for any reason, then:
 
(a) at our discretion, any unfulfilled order will be fulfilled as soon as practicable or will be cancelled forthwith and refunded to the account holder;
(b) any pending payment associated with such terminated MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop Account must be settled immediately by the account holder;
(c) all records associated with such terminated MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop Account will be retained to satisfy MUJI’s obligations under laws or for other legitimate purposes; and
(d) all rights and entitlements provided or related to the account holder of such terminated MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop Account will be invalid.
54.2 Termination of MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop Account for whatever reason shall be without prejudice to the accrued rights and remedies of MUJI as at the effective date of termination.
54.3 We have no responsibility for any loss or damages incurred by you or any third party arising out of the suspension or termination of MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop or our Services.
54.4 In case of any dispute regarding the MUJI point or upon suspension or termination of our Service, our decision shall be final.

You are recommended to visit MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop and log into your MUJI Hong Kong Official Online Shop Account regularly to receive information, notices or updates concerning our Services to you.
55.2 You shall remain responsible for ensuring your contact information is at all times correct, accurate and up-to-date to receive our communications in time to enjoy our Services.
56. Dispute Resolution
 
56.1 MUJI and you agree to use our best efforts to negotiate in good faith and settle any dispute that may arise out of or relate to these Conditions, Privacy Policy or any breach of MUJI’s policies.
56.2 If any such dispute cannot be settled amicably through ordinary negotiations between the parties, or either or both is or are unwilling to engage in this process, either party may propose to the other in writing that structured negotiations be entered into with the assistance of a fully accredited mediator before resorting to litigation.
56.3 All negotiations connected with the relevant dispute(s) will be conducted in confidence and without prejudice to the rights of the parties in any further proceedings.
56.4 If the parties agree on a resolution of the dispute at mediation, such agreement shall be reduced to writing and, once signed by the duly authorised representatives of both parties, shall be final and binding on them.
56.5 Any dispute shall not affect the parties’ ongoing obligations under these Conditions.
57. Third-party Rights
  Nothing in these Conditions confers or purports to confer on any third party any benefit or any right to enforce any term of these Conditions pursuant to the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Ordinance (Cap. 623).
58. Governing Law
  These Conditions and any separate agreements whereby we provide you Services shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Hong Kong SAR. Any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these terms and conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hong Kong SAR.
59. Assignment
 
59.1 You shall not assign or otherwise deal with your rights and obligations under these Conditions, whether in whole or in part without our written consent.
59.2 We may assign these terms and conditions or appoint any third party, including our group companies, to provide the services to you on our behalf or to perform any of our obligations under these terms and conditions.
60. Severability
  In the event that any provision of these Conditions is held to be or becomes illegal, invalid or unenforceable, the legality, validity or enforceability of the remaining provisions of these Conditions shall not be affected thereby.
61. Language
  In case there are any discrepancies between the English and the Chinese versions of these terms and conditions, the English version shall prevail.
62. Definitions
  When you are reading these Conditions, the following terms which have not been defined above have the meanings set forth against each of them below:
 
Business Day means a day (other than a Saturday, Sunday or public holiday) on which licensed commercial banks in Hong Kong are open for general banking business for members of the public in Hong Kong.
Extreme Weather means typhoon warning signal no. 8 or above, red rainstorm warning or black rainstorm warning is in force or the occurrence of extreme conditions as announced by any government authority of Hong Kong due to serious disruption of public transport services, extensive flooding, major landslides, large-scale power outage or any other adverse conditions.
Intellectual Property Rights means patents, copyrights, design rights, trademarks, service marks, trade names, domain names, database rights, rights in know-how, new inventions, designs or process and other intellectual property rights (of whatever nature and wherever arising, whether now known or hereafter created) and in each case whether registered or unregistered and including applications for the grant of any such rights.
MUJI Card means the Visa credit card which is a collaboration between MUJI and Hang Seng Bank (Hong Kong).
63. Interpretations
 
63.1 Words importing the singular only shall include the plural and vice versa where the context requires.
63.2 Each gender includes the others where the context requires.
63.3 Unless the context requires otherwise, a reference to a person includes an individual, corporation, firm or anybody of persons, corporate or unincorporated and includes any public body (as defined in the Interpretation and General Clauses Ordinance (Cap. 1)).
63.4 The words “include” and “including” shall be construed without limitation to the words following.
63.5 Reference to a time shall be construed as a reference to Hong Kong time.
63.6 The headings and numbering of all sections and paragraphs used are included for convenience only and will not limit or otherwise affect these Conditions.
